I was approached by a friend the other day interested in how we can create custom oil combos to diffuse in her workspace. She is aware of the power aromatherapy but has not yet investigated how it can support her mood and focus while she is at work. So I went to work for her, and I am so excited to see how what I've custom made for her works!
I'm not going to share what I made for her, every person is different and has different needs, but I will share what I make for me in the afternoons at home to finish the job, to pick me up, and get me moving into the dinner prep hour.
It really works for me :)
My friend, and doTerra wholesale member, called me last night concerned about her father in law because of the smoke from the forest fires, he is having trouble breathing.
She was curious to know what combination of oils she should put into a diffuser for his room.

Sometimes it feels like a hormone trifecta. A clusterfuck of massive proportions, and this next period might be the one that puts me over the edge! ...Is it something I ate? Is it the stars and the moon? WTF? I am not usually a headache person, but they will arrive every so often, with my period. And they are BAD, like the vomiting kind of ugly. And I know some people are like, " Just take a ibuprofen!" Ah, I have to avoid those as pharma put heavy metals in their products and my body doesn't do so well with those...and so the cycle continues and worsens.
I believe that we have certain abilities to heal ourselves through intention and attention, and I use them, but sometimes the hormones are so powerful that I need additional health support.
So I have done some personal investigations, and because I am learning so much about essential oils and the science-backed preventative health benefits of traditional medicine, I gave these three oils a try:
Fennel, Copaiba, and Clary Sage
First for the Migraine: Copaiba
I had read that Cobaiba works wonders for pain and inflammation, particularly migraines. So I took a drop and placed in on my thumb and to the roof of my mouth. ( I could have put a drop in a veggie cap and ingested it, but that would have meant doing stairs, and my head was pounding ). I also took a drop of frankincense as I read the two best paired for migraines and I know Frank is a superpowered oil.
30 minutes later and coupled with some deep breaths and putting my feet up, I felt good. Pain was gone, nausea gone, happiness back. Awesomeness. Magic.
Second for the Ovaries and PMS : Fennel and Clary Sage
After the headache in the evening cleared, I thought I was in the clear, but no! I woke up to shark week...cramps, back pain, bloating and gas. AUGH! One of my clients had put me onto Clary Sage and that is my first line of defense when I feel the ugh coming on....but I also remembered fennel is amazing when it comes to hormones and the almighty ovaries. So I reached for some fennel as well and here is what I did.
Comfort from PMS discomfort:
- 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil
- 4 drops Fennel
- 2 drops Clary Sage
Combine the three ingredients and massage in to the lower abdomen. Inhale with the intention:
" I am in charge of my life and will flow with the changes in the world around me. "
