Duh, Duh, Duh, another one bites the dust.
Another meal out and I am toast!!! Urgh!!!
There have been so many times in my life where I have had a great "gluten free" meal and 15 minutes later I can feel it happening...the popping in my tummy begins, and then wait for it, the cramps start up. Yay!
Somewhere somehow, gluten got in my food.
Tonight was different, the popping started, the cramps began. With my energy levels dropping fast, I closed my eyes ( which I like to think helps shut out the pain) and we rushed home to what I know might help...essential oils. My mind raced through what I knew: Rosemary, Ginger, Peppermint and Frank. I kept listing them like a mantra as I walked through the door and into the bathroom.
With a 1 gloppy tablespoon of unscented carrier cream, I mixed 1 drop rosemary, 1 drop ginger, 2 drops peppermint and 1 drop frankincense onto my belly and lower back. I then did the same into a cup of water and downed the magical elixir.
Me now, instantly after, my tummy feels lighter, cooler too because of the rosemary and peppermint. It's not perfect but I am no longer doubled over in pain. The popping has stopped and I mostly just feel full. My energy is back to normal and I might just have some gas to pass but wow, what a difference.
