Designed for the new to the practice, Breathe, is a simple 21 day guided mindfulness meditation journal that supports the individual in developing or adding to a wellness routine.
Each practice starts with an intention and suggests essential oils that can be paired with the meditation to support the practice.
The meditation itself will last between 5-10 minutes, but that is up to the meditator. To finish there is space left for reflection.
Breathe was created by a trained mindfulness meditation facilitator and educator, Melissa Johnson. She has been facilitating mindfulness workshops and year-long professional inquiries over the past 6 years. Along with her teaching partner, Kelly Hanson, she founded 4C Consulting, a grassroots social enterprise with that holds the intention to contemplate, create, and connect community. Their first book: A Mindful Teaching Community, edited by Kelly Hanson, follows the two on a self study with a group of teachers that explore what mindfulness means to them.
An excellent support for classrooms, and schools, Breathe, creates the opportunity for the teacher to learn alongside the students. Best suited for Grade 8 and above but adaptable for younger ages, Breathe, can meet core curricular standards for health.
